The project, was funded by ROTA (Reach Out To Asia) and lasted for three years. It involved setting up two Human Resource Development Centers, one for men and one for women. These centers offered training in 14 different skills, such as carpentry, welding, and tailoring.

Kitchen Gardening for Livelihood Security
In Gurunjur village, Hashoo Trust launched a kitchen gardening program to improve livelihoods and combat malnutrition. The program trained women in modern techniques to grow winter vegetables, even in the cold months. This boosted household consumption, provided surplus for market sale, and created seed banks for future harvests. This initiative addressed the lack of knowledge about modern agriculture and its potential to improve lives in this resource-rich village.
