Faizi received hands-on training in firefighting, rescue operations, and emergency procedures through Hashoo Trusts Safer Tomorrow’s Project. Through this project he learned to think critically, act quickly, and utilize resources effectively. When the fire struck in his village of Krakal, Kalash Valley of Pakistan, it was Faizi’s training that helped save the village.
“Faizi didn’t hesitate,” recalls a fellow villager. “He used his mobile kit to alert other volunteers, organized them into teams, and utilized the fire extinguishers provided by Hashoo Trust.”
His swift action prevented the fire from spreading therefore saving lives and homes. Faizi’s story is a testament to the power of preparedness and the impact of Hashoo Trust’s work, that helps empower communities to protect themselves.
