Asma’s inspiring journey unfolds from Hunza Valley, where she was born into a modest middle-class family. Her father, the family’s primary breadwinner, ensured their well-being and education. However, an unforeseen tragedy struck when her father sustained severe injuries while traveling on the Karakoram Highway. His extended hospitalization imposed a considerable economic strain, adversely affecting Asma’s education during her fifth-grade enrollment at Pakistan Foundation School in Rawalpindi.
Confronted with this socio-economic adversity, the family turned to Hashoo Trust seeking financial assistance to secure Asma’s education. The Educate A Child program allowed Asma to persevere in her educational journey, transitioning to the British Academic School in Rawalpindi during the eighth grade. This support persisted until 2011 when Asma’s father made a full recovery, regaining the capacity to provide for his family.
Asma proudly graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree in 2022. She wished to have a career where she can have a positive impact on the lives of others and therefore joined the Hashoo Trust as a Youth Development Fellow. Recognizing her exceptional performance and dedication, Asma was then offered a position as a Communication and Marketing Executive at a subsidiary organization of the Hashoo Foundation.
